Thank You Dr. Rosenberg
The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs recognizes and thanks Dr. Beth Rosenberg, Department of English, for her contributions as UNLV's Director of General Education from 2004 through 2007. Dr. Rosenberg and the Vice Provost's General Education Advisory Committee were instrumental in initiating the transformation of General Education at UNLV by clarifying General Education learning outcomes, developing an assessment plan for the Core, starting a Writing Across the Curriculum program, piloting the Writing Links program, and articulating a vision and strategic plan that we hope will lead UNLV to the national forefront of undergraduate education reform.
Dr. Rosenberg also actively involved the campus community on issues of General Education, including working closely with the Faculty Senate General Education Committee, and organizing UNLV's 2007 General Education Planning Retreat, "Learning for Success in the 21st Century."
Dr. Rosenberg, an expert on Virginia Woolf and the contemporary British novel, has returned to full time teaching, scholarship and service in UNLV's Department of English.
